At Marx Computers we also perform upgrades and repairs of PCs. Please bring in your computer (not monitor, cables, mouse or keyboard). We do not store driver disks, so please bring in any drivers for internal cards e.g. motherboard, graphics card, soundcard etc. If our technician has to spend time tracking down drivers, then you will be charged for that time.
If you want your computer's operating system re-installed or the service requires it to be re-installed e.g. in the case of a new motherboard/hard drive, please backup any important information as this will be lost from your hard drive. You will also need to provide us with the operating system serial number and/or CD.
When you bring in your system you will be given a timeframe for the repair, generally 3-5 days, depending on availability of parts. In the case of repairs we will check out the system and contact you for go-ahead and agree costs before proceeding with the work.
Here is a guide to repair costs:
Troubleshooting (where fault is not obvious and the testing of many parts is involved) - Euro 20.00
Fitting of parts - e.g. hard drive, DVD, floppy - Euro 25.00
Fitting (including installation) of parts - e.g. hard drive, writer - Euro 35.00
Reinstallation of operating system and motherboard/cards - Euro 45.00 (assuming drivers are provided).
Upgrading motherboard in system incl. reinstallation of operating system - Euro 50-65.00.
